The following paper has made an endeavour to disclose the role of Domination which has dissected the world into diverse structures. The paper has focused on Richard Wright’s Poetry “Between The World and Me” and make an effort to explain the bitter reality of “Culture of Kingdom” which has imposed an identity on Afro-American. The Paper tries to explain this notion by the help of “Double Consciousness” model imparted by W.B. Du Bois. This conception helps us to understand the psychological structure of people’s mentality; who have ajar their mentality into the conventional Notions. A crisis that cannot be offset by the pockets of educational excellence sporadically present in the country, or just by the presence of an enormous reservoir of talented young people in the economy or by the intense competition among existing colleges and universities. Higher education in india suffers intensely in terms of quality and the intelligent use of information technology could be a means to achieve an end. India has the largest population of children and youth worldwide. Its young man power, if educated and skilled, could help and support several ageing nations in the near future. A favourable demography comprising 54 percent of a massive 1.4 billion population below 25 years, are indeed astonishing number for manpower planners, particularly of developed nations. Imagine what would be the cognitive capital if 85-90 percent of schools become truly functional! as Secondary education commission (1964-66) has rightly observed."

EFFECTIVE TALENT MANAGEMENT AS AN ORGANIZATIONAL TOOL TO GAIN COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE
Dr. Mahesh U. Mangaonkar
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.6901621
Abstract
Certificate
Every organization wants to get success in the competitive environment. One of the sources of getting success is to hire, develop and retain talented people. Though, the population is increasing day by day, the skilled manpower is scarce, as there is a significant gap between demand and supply of the skilled manpower. Talent management has become so important because it relates to all the aspects of an “employee’s life cycle”, i.e. selection, development, succession and performance management. Not only accurate hiring and promotion decisions but also enhancing the performance of the current positions to make them ready for the transition to the next level is the essence of talent management. Better business performance depends upon better talent. According to the 2006 research study from McBaasi and Co., two common business goals that are at the top of mind for today’s senior leadership viz. higher stock market returns and better safety records can be achieved through the high scores in the five categories of human capital management (leadership practices, employee engagement, knowledge accountability, workforce organization, and learning capacity).

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND CORPORATE SECTOR
Dr. Mamta Malhotra
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.6901784
Abstract
Certificate
Businesses have come a long way from being perceived as a mechanical setup, where a group of individuals used their knowledge about market conditions and finances to earn profits. Today, the role of an individual's emotional state on his professional success is being widely recognized. Studies have revealed that it is not just a high intelligence quotient that is required to be a successful businessman. Rather, individuals who have a high emotional intelligence are found to make better leaders and decision makers, and hence, the most successful professionals.Over the past two decades, the importance of emotional intelligence in the Indian corporate sector has been significant .It is observed that it is not the smartest people that are the most successful or the most fulfilled in life ,there are probably people who are academically brilliant and are socially inept and unsuccessful at work or in their personal relationships. When we talk of corporate sector it’s not that IQ and technical skills are irrelevant. They do matter, but mainly as “threshold capabilities”; that is, they are the entry-level requirements for executive positions. There is only one area which a business – or any organisation – needs to address if it wants to lift itself from averagely successful to excellent: emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence at work is about how people and relationships function:Relationships between colleagues, between directors and staff,Relationships between the organization and its customers, stakeholders, suppliers, competitors, networking contacts, everyone. This paper on “EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND CORPORATE SECTOR’ gives introduction of EI with special reference to corporate world, identifies the major aspects of EI, its importance for business leaders ,characteristics of high EQ leaders, EQ competencies that relate to workplace success and finally how to improve EI.
