The use of blockchain technology and its applications in various areas is a form of disruptive technology changing the
way operations are carried out. Since its inception in the year 2008, it took only a decade’s time to cover maximum
functional areas of national as well as international importance. Global trade is no exception to it. Ports play a crucial
role in shipment of goods and services across the national borders. Both seaports and dry ports (Inland Container
Depot in this case) are important in the movement of cargo from exporter’s warehouse to importer’s warehouse. To
manage all the logistics and Supply chain activities in an integrated manner in the modern era, use of technology has
become an inevitable choice. Various systems and techniques have streamlined this process. The paper focusses on
the application of blockchain technology in providing end-to-end logistics solution to the various stakeholders involved
in international trade in India through an App based model. Functionality of the App is enhanced by integrating a
blockchain model for providing a secure, transparent, verified and real time information about the container in transit.
The paper highlights the procedure followed by the importer in getting the goods transported to a destined location.
The researchers have proposed suggestions for increasing the scope of use of blockchain technology and a model to
integrate all the activities under the roof of international trade. Finally, the researchers have tried to outline the other
technological systems and applications that can be used to enhance the logistics and supply chain systems in Future

INVESTMENT DIVERSIFICATION THROUGH ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENT VEHICLES IN AFGHANISTAN
Prof. Ishwara P. & Murtaza Rassoli
DOI : 10.5281/AMIERJ.10657969
Abstract
Certificate
Investment diversification through alternative investment vehicles in Afghanistan involves spreading financial
resources across various asset classes, such as hedge funds, real estate, and commodities, to manage risks and enhance
potential returns. This study explores the dynamics of investment diversification through alternative vehicles in
Afghanistan, aiming to provide insights into the complex interplay between potential returns, risk, and personal
factors. The research, conducted through surveys and statistical analyses, reveals nuanced findings, Firstly, the
evidence suggests a lack of a clear trade-off between increased potential returns and higher risk in alternative
investment diversification. While certain predictors show potential influence, the overall model's statistical
significance is borderline, highlighting the complexity of decision-making in Afghanistan's investment landscape,
Secondly, personal risk tolerance and regulatory understanding do not significantly predict investment diversification.
This indicates that personal factors play a limited role in shaping investment decisions, necessitating a deeper
understanding of unique contextual factors, Thirdly, perceptions significantly impact investment diversification.
Positive perceptions of investment opportunities contribute positively, while perceptions of investment outcomes have
a marginally significant negative influence, reflecting a nuanced investor sentiment, In conclusion, the study
recommends targeted educational initiatives to enhance investor awareness, comprehensive risk assessments that go
beyond personal risk tolerance, exploration of tailored diversification strategies, and policy considerations to create
an enabling environment for alternative investments. These findings and recommendations aim to contribute to a more
resilient and diversified investment environment in Afghanistan, considering both objective and subjective factors.

IMPACT OF EXCHANGE RATE VOLATILITY ON INDIA’S INTERNATIONAL TRADE & ECONOMIC GROWTH
Dr. Vijay Nagesh Gumma
DOI : 10.5281/AMIERJ.10657982
Abstract
Certificate
The tremendous surge in capital inflows and increase in cross border financial transactions over the last three decades
have believed to add substantial volatility and uncertainty to the behaviour of international exchange rate.
The issue of exchange rate volatility, however receive serious consideration in the Indian economic policy decisions
during the second half of 1990s, when as a part of the extensive economic liberalization package initiated in 1991,
Indian exchange rate system underwent a series of structural changes. The introduction of current account
convertibility in August 1994 and gradual opening of the capital account to foreign capital flows have paved the way
for greater volatility in the Rupee exchange rate.
The exchange value of the Indian Rupee fell to Rs. 82.21 per US Dollar in March 2023 from Rs. 44.45 per US Dollar
in April 2011. This volatility introduced uncertainty in the domestic market and influenced imports, exports and GDP
growth rate.
On this background, an attempt is made in this paper to examine the impact of exchange rate volatility on India’s
international trade and economic growth. For this, twelve year time period i.e. from 2011 to 2023 is selected for the
purpose of the study.
The general impression of secondary data clearly reveals that exchange rate volatility has negatively impacted India’s
Export and GDP growth rate but positively impacted India’s import. Therefore, the present study recommends that the
RBI should pursue sustainable and stable exchange rate policy measures to promote greater exchange rate stability
that would help to enhance the exports and GDP growth rate of the economy. Moreover, the study strongly recommends
that RBI intervention should be needed to take control over depreciation of rupee in the short-run that adversely affects
the exports.

POLITICO-ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION IN INDIA’S NEIGHBORHOOD POLICY – AN ATTEMPT TO CAPACITY-BUILDING IN MALDIVES
Dr. Neelu Khosla & Ms. Pooja Yadav
DOI : 10.5281/AMIERJ.10657992
Abstract
Certificate
In the fast-changing geo-political scenario, the world is undergoing a fundamental transformation. Many facets are
emerging causing uncertainty. The article aims to understand in correlation with PM Modi’s ‘Proactive Engagement’
neighborhood policy (as it develops in conjunction with the South-Asian neighbors) vis-à-vis Maldives. It is on
multilateral policy of Indian government, with investments in Capacity-building Activities in the small island State in
technical / vocational and medical training etc.
The objective of the study is:
• what is India’s foreign policy in the Asia’s sub-continent?
• why India needs to maintain relations with Maldives?
• how the emergence of China affects India-Maldives ties?
Maldives is a small island in Indian Ocean, affluent in natural resources and situated in strategically sensitive area.
It gained independence in 1965 and has cultural, and commercial links steeped in antiquity with India. It opened a
High Commission in New Delhi in 2004 and transitioned to a multi-party democracy (2008). The relations between
two are deep and diverse but not flawless. The article highlights Maldives being a SAARC member having continuously
supported India on the multilateral front (UN, SAARC, etc.) vis-à-vis the aim of Indian government to increase
transactions and exploit its natural resources for common benefits. India welcomed Maldives in the Indian Ocean Rim
(IOR) and explains the Indian stakes in Maldives as vital for multiple maritime commercial routes in the field of
Navigation processes.
However, India’s ‘Neighborhood Policy’ has taken a trajectory shift in the Indian Ocean Rim, since China’s (BRIC
member) setting its footprints by investing in such small countries laying debt traps.
Political instability in Maldives, coupled with increase of terrorist groups like IS and Jihadists, and the recent call of
President Mohamed Muizzu, post winning elections with a strong mandate in September 2023, to India ‘to pull out its
security personnel from the Maldives’ and honor the democratic aspirations of people has evidently miffed New Delhi.
Both India and China are looking for opportunities to have substantial stake in the development process of the island.
The basis for Indo-Maldives relations, however, remains as shared prosperity within the Modi’s clarion call of ‘Sabka
Saath, Sabka Vikas’, that translates as ‘Collective Effort, Inclusive Growth and Mutual Trust’.
Key words: Neighborhood, maritime commercial route, security, investment, capacity-building.

AN OVERVIEW ON CRYPTOCURRENCY - THE NEW AGE TRANSACTION
Triveni Sharma
DOI : 10.5281/AMIERJ.10658033
Abstract
Certificate
Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin have matured from being associated exclusively with techies and radicals to being
considered by central banks as a technology to implement digital money. Cryptocurrencies exist only in digital form
and can be transferred completely between digital addresses. This is both unlike conventional electronic money as
understood by laypersons which acts as a debt claim on a deposit with a trusted financial institution such as a private
bank and unlike conventional corporeal money which may be physically possessed. This means that any legal rights
associated with holding cryptocurrencies must be different despite it being remaining open to interpretation. In this
chapter, we look at the various treatments of money in the legal sense and discuss the risks associated with each by
drawing on real life examples. We conclude that fraud through hacking could potentially pose a problem to widespread
adoption of cryptocurrencies as the absence of recourse against a third party such as a bank concentrates risk in
holders of cryptocurrencies. Users should thus exercise caution and understand the risks before investing in
cryptocurrencies. This warning requires emphasis as many parties misapprehend the cryptography within the
technology as protecting them from such fraud when in fact it does no such thing.

Prof. Priti Ashwin Shah
DOI : 10.5281/AMIERJ.10658664
Abstract
Certificate
For decades, intrapreneurship has been, and is still, promoted to employees as a way to capture the creativity and
excitement of entrepreneurship, although with more resources and less risk. Intrapreneurship creates opportunities
for individuals to be innovative and entrepreneurial within and for the organisation that employs them. The ways in
which intrapreneurs act have not changed, unlike the business context surrounding them. Digitalisation has opened
the path for new intrapreneurial opportunities; however, the amount of attention paid to the role of digital
intrapreneurs within existing organisations is limited. We present our own definition of digital intrapreneurship and
position our definition in the digital landscape where modern companies operate.
