for this companies is to focus on minimising cost so as to survive in this heavily competitive market, which
in fact is dominated by 3 to 4 companies. This paper tries to evaluate the economic impact of covid-19 on

A STUDY ON RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CRUDE OIL PRICE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH
Burhanuddin Bhandari And Dr. Sujata Parwani
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.7092561
Abstract
Certificate
Crude oil price is an important parameter for refining industries, which has a bearing on economy, because
it is vital input for productivity. There is a vast gap in demand and production of crude oil in India. National
oil companies are able to produce 23-24% of India's total requirements of crude oil. The production of crude
oil from public sector enterprises in India has been decreasing due to old and the maturity of the fields. India
is not self-reliant on crude oil production; therefore, it is necessary and inevitable to import the crude oil to
bridge the gap between demand and supply. The increase in international crude oil prices will make import
costly and raise the Indian crude basket price. Therefore, both international crude oil price rise and import
dependency on crude oil are the problematic area that may damage the Indian economy. This paper focused
on a study of relationship between crude oil prices and economic growth and also focused on the impact of
crude oil prices on some economic variables i.e. exchange rate, inflation, and financial markets. To analyze
the data statistical tools like Regression Analysis, correlation etc. are used. The result shows there is a significant
impact of changes in crude oil prices on economic variables.

types of traditional evaluations and tests. The new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 will succeed the
current National Policy on Education, which was initially created in 1986 and last revised in 1992. In order
to study A Paradigm Shifts from Traditional to Modern Education; this study was conducted on students
who residing in the Thane District. The study consists of primary and secondary data. A structured

Abstract
Certificate
Presently in case of Higher Education, there are specific disciplines. However, in the near future, on the
sanction of National Education Policy and its implementation there would be a paradigm shift from discipline
specific to trans-disciplinary studies. Such an education system throws open lots of opportunities for the
younger generation from specific stream based education system to a choice based graduation system. Rather
than selecting one stream for graduation, this system proposes trans-disciplinary options based on their
strengths and weaknesses. The major focus of the entire policy is on the students' and naturally the students
play a pivotal role in the success of this dream project. Every coin has two sides, though many good things
are proposed in the Plan document, the consideration of students' mindset for the transition holds highest
weightage. This paper makes an attempt to study the physical, psychological, economicfactors influencing
the level of preparedness of the students that would affect this transition. The study consists of primary and
secondary data. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection. Null hypotheses were tested
usingMann-Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis test. This study will help understand the different factors
affecting student preparedness for accepting the shift from discipline specific to trans-disciplinary studies

IMPACT OF COLONIALISM IN NGUGIWATHIONG'O'S SELECT NOVELS
V.Sakthivel
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.7093124
Abstract
Certificate
NgugiwaThiong'o is a renowned literary figure from East Africa. He is known for his description of colonial
issues in his works especially in his novels. He has exposed how the British colonial education annihilated
native language, native culture and native identity. This paper examines how the Britishers annihilated
native elements and the serious consequences of it. During the colonial and the post-colonial period, native
people suffered from 'white ache'. According to Nyamnjoh, " Whiteache is black man celebrating the negation
of himself"(65). Native people want to identify themselves with white people and hate their own black
identity. Native people feel that the Britishers are superior in terms of their culture and education, because
they have introduced the knowledge of literature, science and technology to them in the colonial school.
Ngugi in all of his novels highlights the impact of colonialism. In Weep Not, Child,Ngugi describes in a
detailed manner how the native land and native labour have been taken by the Britishers. This inhuman act
of Britishers paves way for the alienation among the native people. In The River Between, Ngugi is highly
critical of Britisher's conversion process. The Britishers introduced their own Christian religion in Kenya and
other African countries in order to destroy the native people's religion, native unity and native identity and
to dominate the native people . In A Grain of Wheat, Ngugi pinpoints the stark reality in Kenya. He also
exposes how the native men have been tortured in the concentration camps as their fellow country men
have formed Kenya's Land and Freedom Army ( Mau Mau) inorder to liberate Kenya from the clutches of
colonialism. All the men in Kenya have been taken to concentration camps and women including children
have been allowed to stay in their homes. More restrictions have been laid before them .Women were beaten
severely and forcefully raped and resulted in their inhuman death. During the colonial period, native suffered
a lot due to the various inhuman practices employed by the Britishers in Kenya.

Abstract

The writing in Indian English Novel has witnessed the issues dealing with the synchronic and diachronic
transformation. Needless to say that the space for women in it is also changing from time to time. The
writers have tried their level best to grapple with the culture and context specific problem and issues related
women. A notable development is the emergence of an entire school of women novelists in Indian Writing in
English. Ruth Prawar Jhabvala, Kamala Markandaya, Nayantara Sahgal and Anita Desai are the leading
figures in Post- Independence period. The present paper focuses the most celebrated Marathi novel Kosla
(1963) written by Bhalchandra Nemade, Janpeeth Awardee 2015. The first critic of a literary work is the
writer himself who through his text issues some hits to the creative reader to meditate upon. It is perceptible
in all works of literature and Bhalchandra Nemade's Kosla is no exception to it. The novelist has thrown
away all the required norms of literary writing. The protagonist Pandurang Sangavikar, in fact represents
the novelist himself throughout the plot. He is seen in a deep grief which affects him at the internal level of
mind. In the present novel, the subversive tone is seen missing.

DOI : 10.5281/amierj.7093239
Abstract
Certificate
Lord Shri Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita Chapter 13, Verse 17:
'I can be attained through Knowledge.'
Human birth is the biggest gift to the soul as human beings can realize The Higher Knowledge-The Metaphysical
Knowledge. Certainly, lower Knowledge- Physical Knowledge is also crucial to ensure protection and
sustenance of human life. Triumph of human life is in realizing the Higher Knowledge with the help of lower
Knowledge as an instrument. It is said in Mundaka Upanishad, Verse 1.1.4:
There are two sorts of knowledge to be acquired. Those who have realized the Brahman (The Super Power)
say Para and Apara, i.e., the Higher and the lower knowledge both the types of knowledge are to be gained
and be enriched with.
Here lies the importance of Transdisciplinary Teaching-Learning. This research study aims at understanding
the Inevitability and Implications of Transdisciplinary Teaching-Learning that covers both the knowledge:
the Higher and the lower by studying teachings from The Upanishad and The Bhagavad Gita.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING AND LEARNING: A TRANSDISCIPLINARY APPROACH
Mukesh P. Patil
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.7093253
Abstract
Certificate
Today in the world of globalization, in this age of digitization, teaching of English language has become
challenging one. As defined by the academia, ELT has been considered as a research discipline under the
field of 'applied linguistics'. Teaching and learning English language and using it as an extra language is
intricate and multifaceted. The process of English language teaching and learning involve languages, cultures,
learning, communication, identities, etc., which in turn are placed educationally within a host of diverse
disciplines. One can say that language teaching and learning is transdisciplinary as multiple disciplines can
offer diverse lenses through which to understand the same phenomena and to build new understandings of
the object of interest. Furthermore, as a field in which languages and cultures are inherently brought into
contact, language teaching and learning is also at an intersection between disciplines that are conceptualized
and developed differently in different languages and academic traditions. The present research paper will
examine how language teaching and learning is adopting a transdisciplinary perspective in today's changing
world. In particular, it will focus on the idea of language learning from an intercultural perspective to
examine how multiple disciplines and different disciplinary traditions contribute to shaping understanding
of the field; it will also consider some of the challenges of bringing multiple disciplines to bear on this
understanding.

Ms. Rina Pranay Patel And Ms. Reem Ismail Shaikh
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.7093261
Abstract
Certificate
Mass media accounts for a major part of individual's everyday life. In the modern world, it is a form of
recreation and socialization. Especially in today's world where people have restriction on activities due to the
ongoing pandemic, media is an important source of entertainment for most of the people. News is an integral
part of the mass media. Crime has been the principle genre in news media and now even crime reality shows
have begun to captivate the audiences and continue to keep their attention. The audiences consume such
media to an extent that they start internalizing the criminal and scary content that they get exposed to. It
becomes difficult to balance between being informed and aware and to live in a continuum of consternation.
The traumatizing yet realistic media content related to violence and fear has influence on its audience's
perception and psyche in total as compared to fictional genre of programs. News and crime-based reality
programs fabricate tremendous fear, and in many cases can even induce anxiety among people. Especially in
today's world of insecurity arising out of the present pandemic scenario, people are worried about the present
and future of themselves and their families. The present paper is a study of the impact of such violence and
fear depicted in the news and crime-related media across the Indian television on the well-being and anxiety
among parents. A small survey is conducted with 40 parents watching such news on daily basis to understand
their own well- being and anxiety towards their children as a result of exposure to such media violence.
Results show that exposure to violent news in the media has negative impact on general well-being of
parents and also increases anxiety in them about the present and future of their children.

PARADIGM SHIFT IN HINDI STORY WRITING FROM PURANI KAHANI TO NAI KAHANI
Dr. Sarika Gupta
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.7093324
Abstract
Certificate
In Hindi literature the main proponents of Purani Kahani are Munshi Premchand and Jai Shankar Prasad.
In old stories the narrative would follow a definite story line. The writer would go on telling and many events
happen one after another. On the other hand in Nai Kahani nothing much wouid happen and if something
happens the focus was more on its impact on the mind of the characters. New Story came into being during
the first two decades after Indian independence. The period from 1955-1963 is considered to be the time
span of Nai Kahani. The narrative of these stories is broken. There is symbolism in these stories like in the
stories Malve ka Malik, Khoyi Hui Dishayen and Iceberg. Namvar Singh declares the story Parinde by
Nirmal Verma as the representative story of Nai Kahani. Parinde is symbolic of destiny, in Mohan Rakesh's
story Ek Thehra Hua Chaku, chaku is the symbol of hooliganism and injustice. Images, which are another
characteristic of Nai Kahani, provide accurate and crystalline meaning to Nai Kahani. Instead of the
conversation style, consciousness flow style and preview style of the old story, the new story follows diary
style and fantasy style.

TECHNO-EQUIPPED EDUCATION: A CRITICAL OVERVIEW
Dr. Satyajit Kosambi
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.7093394
Abstract
Certificate
As of late, there has been far-reaching enthusiasm around the potential for innovation to change learning.
As interests in technology for education keep on developing, students, parents, and instructors face an
apparently perpetual cluster of training advancements from which to look over customized learning stages
from instructive games to online courses. In the midst of the fervor, it is vital to venture back and see how
techno-based education can help-or now and again deter the students' learning. Techno-based education
has altered the traditional concept of education. The significance of techno-based education can't be
disregarded. In reality, with the introduction of computers in education, it has become more straightforward
for teachers to impart knowledge to the students. The utilization of techno-based education has made the
method of teaching and learning even more lively. This paper talks about the competence of techno-based
methodologies in education and provides prospective areas of research in this direction.

DOI : 10.5281/amierj.7093414
Abstract
Certificate
In this paper, I review the role of OSI-Model. This paper examines the problem of cybersecurity threats that
are implemented on networks . OSI-Model is a 7 layer architecture with each layer having specific functionality
to perform. All these 7 layers work collaboratively to transmit the data from one person to another all
around the world. networks as being structured in the seven layers of the ISO-OSI model, it makes sense that
cybersecurity threats can happen at any layer. We can think of these layers as the "links" in our metaphorical
chain. Moving outward from the user, data is entered into the network through software running on the
Application layer. Through the Session, Transport, Network, and Data-Link layers and arriving at the other
end, the Physical layer, the data travels back up the seven layers to arrive at its intended destination. Each
layer has its own protocols and other communication standards that govern its efficient operation. Each
instance of osi Model provides services that use an instance directly. To provide the service itself uses an
instance of the next lower instance.
