Dr. Srabani Panda Acharya
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.7082647
Abstract
Certificate
In the present time, technology can be found everywhere, including in classrooms. The integration of technology
within the teaching and learning of any subject, specifically teaching Mathematics, has become a very critical issue.
It is a well-known fact that many school students have a phobia of Mathematics. Several publications addressed the
issue and proposed different ideas to overcome the phobia with the help of technology or strategies. But a large number
of schools (government or government-aided schools in west Bengal, India) do not have the requisite minimum
infrastructure to fulfill the technical requirements in each classroom. Therefore, it is quite challenging for teachers to
achieve mastery of learning in the classrooms with the help of technology. Therefore, reviewing the non-technical
activity-based strategies again in the present scenario becomes essential.
The present paper will explore different strategies for supplementing school infrastructural limitations.
The paper will try to propose activity-based strategies for achieving mastery learning in Mathematics classrooms. The
strategies will be applied to some school students to study the effect on them.

Covid-19 pandemic brought into our notice that technology in education can be a way to foster learning. Students find
it difficult to measure and construct the various types of angles. Many times rote learning is observed. It shows the
need for practice. In this study we investigated the effect of using gamification as an out-class strategy in learning
geometry, specifically types of angles and their construction while transitioning the teaching learning process to a
Post-Covid ‘New Normal’ situation. Two gamification tools were used as Math Playground.com and Quizizz.com. The
study used a single group experimental design having a sample of 42 students. To collect data on students'
achievements pre and post tests were conducted and Wilcoxon signed Rank Test was used for analyzing the data.
Analysis of data revealed Math Playground as an effective practice which promotes fun learning. And Quizizz tool,
engages students, and can be used as a formative assessment tool. These Gamification tools make learning fun and
challenging and increase the performance of the students and can be used as an out-class strategy.

LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY OF INTERMEDIARIES IN E-COMMERCE
Ms. Ashvini Ashok Takalkar
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.7082781
Abstract
Certificate
In the present digitised world, e-commerce has acquired tremendous significance and assists society in every walk of
life. E-commerce companies are increasing in number day by day, and slowly but steadily, e-commerce companies are
gaining popularity, and their market share is increasing with the increased use of digital technology in the everyday
life of people. Due to the ever-evolving nature of digital technology, e-commerce companies also have to keep
themselves abreast and adorning different functions and roles in providing for the needs of modern society. In doing
so, e-commerce companies perform the role of intermediaries. ‘Intermediary’ means someone who acts as a
middleman between two parties. Thus intermediaries facilitate transactions among parties online. Some e-commerce
platforms/companies act as intermediaries connecting producers with consumers, sharing information and offering
products to the public. Despite the crucial role played by the intermediaries, there is no adequate liability fastened
upon them. The Information Technology Act, 2000, Section 79 provide for certain liabilities of the intermediary, but
the same does not serve the purpose, and the intermediaries can escape from their liabilities due to the shortcoming
of the law. The present article discusses the need for fastening adequate liability on the intermediaries. It further
emphasises that liabilities on the intermediaries could be fixed considering their functions in a given e-commerce
transaction and the type of intermediary. It also refers to the new Consumer Protection Act 2019 and its E-commerce
Rules 2020.
