DEVELOPMENT OF EFFORTS IN VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SHIVAJI UNIVERSITY KOLHAPUR IN 2010-2011
Dr. Mrs. Khamkar Satwashila Balaso
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.6866375
Abstract

The backbone of Education at all levels is a teacher. Teacher plays innumerable roles for a student at
different times and different things. Teacher is seen a source of knowledge, professional knowledge,
transmitter, buffer between a student and alien domains of knowledge, a receiver of new information in his
subject, a philosopher and guide to slow learners, gifted learners and so on. Teacher is also a representative of
the certifying authority for a diploma or a degree or a board examination, who is directly in contact with a
student on a regular basis. Thus it is radically important to constantly monitor the health of this link between a
student and his goal – Education. The process that reliably monitors the health through teacher’s performance
usually on a yearly basis is called the appraisal. Different countries have evolved appraisal procedures
according to their educational patterns, needs and social structure. Perhaps a scheme that works successfully
in the U.S or U.K. may not prove successful in India since our country is full of diversity and contradictions
that are seldom faced by western countries. Hence it is felt that it is necessary to evolve an appraisal scheme
that does not turn a blind eye to realities faced by the Indian society.

REMOTE DISPLAY SOLUTIONS FOR MOBILE CLOUD COMPUTING
Rajesh S. Yemul & Prof. Ms. Aradhana Deshmukh
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.6881692
Abstract
Certificate
“Remote display solution for mobile cloud computing is an attempt to separate the input/output
interface from the application logic for the mobile devices.
Essentially, the principle of mobile cloud computing physically separates the user interface from the
application logic. Only a viewer component is executed on the mobile device, operating as a remote display
for the applications running on distant servers in the cloud. Any remote display framework is composed of
three components: a server side component that intercepts, encodes and transmits the application graphics to
the client, a viewer component on the client and a remote display protocol that transfers display updates and
user events between both endpoints.
Using standard thin client solutions, such as Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), and Virtual Network
Computing (VNC), in a mobile cloud computing context is not straightforward.
These architectures were originally designed for corporate environments, where users connect over
a wired local area network to the central company server executing typical office applications. In this setting,
the technical challenges are limited, because delay and jitter are small, bandwidth availability is seldom a
limiting factor and office applications exhibit rather static displays when compared with multimedia
applications. In a mobile cloud computing environment, the remote display protocol must be able to deliver
complex multimedia graphics over wireless links and render these graphics on a resource constrained mobile
device.

DOI : 10.5281/amierj.6841476
Abstract

Today “Education” is the main objective of the education. It plays an important role
in our society that is it’s traditions, idiologies, needs and aspirations, society, effect and
reflects in the school activities, it’s syllabi, it’s curriculum, it’s modes in which the school
functions. In short we can say that both act and interact on each-other. Therefore the school
is an important source of providing education. Schools prepare children for future life. So
school curriculum must be effective. Mathematics is taught as an important subject in the
school. In one of the dictionaries it has been given that mathematics is the science of number
and spall while the other has defined it as the science of measurement, quantity and
magnitude. These definitions clearly indicate that mathematics is an accepted science which
deals with the quantitative aspects of our life and knowledge. It helps in drawing necessary
conclusion and interpreting various ideas with useful meaning

Milind Suryavanshi
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.6885960
Abstract
Certificate
Creativity is a great power of human beings, just because of creative thinking impossible is
made possible. Many inventions and innovations are the product of the creativity. It is said that
whatever invention we see at first it takes place in the mind. It is a foremost thing that we must train
the children about how to think. Children must have the knowledge about creative ideas and various
techniques by which creative thinking can be developed. With the help of various techniques and
strategies creativity can be developed among children. Inductive thinking, synectic model, brain
storming and many more strategies can be used to develop creativity among children. In the present
paper such strategies are discussed.

STREAM-BASED WEB SERVICE SECURITY PROCESSING SYSTEM
Vaishali Mangalkar , Prof. R. S. Sonar & Rajesh Yemul
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.6886019
Abstract
Certificate
Web Services, like any other software applications, are subject to traditional security risks and issues such as
authentication, authorization, encryption, secure sockets, and so on. A profound weakness of Web Services is their
vulnerability to Denial of Service attacks exploiting XML processing.
Efforts have been made to secure Web Services’s availability as they have become more and more popular
for inter-enterprise communications. Existing security standards such as e.g. WS-Security only address message
integrity and confidentiality, also user authentication and authorization. In this paper we present a system for
protecting Web Services from Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks.
In this paper we present a solution a stream-based WS-Security processing system, which enables an efficient
processing in service computing and increases the robustness against different types of Denial-of-Service (DoS)
attacks. The introduced system is capable of processing all standard-conforming applications of WS-Security in a
streaming manner. The system can handle e.g. any order, number and nesting degree of encryption and signature
operations, thus closing the gap towards more efficient and dependable Web Services.

TRAINING THE SENSES FOR EFFECTIVE LEARNING
Milind Suryavanshi
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.6886043
Abstract
Certificate
Learning is very important in human life. Learning indirectly starts form the birth itself. Infant gives
responses to the light, sounds etc. As kid grownups one has to show deliberate efforts for the learning. Senses
provide first hand experiences and that’s why these experiences are immortal in the life of a person. Senses are
the gate ways for the learning. Maria Montessori, an Italian educationist proved that kids learn easily through
the senses. Direct and effective learning is possible through the senses. In all sort of learning; sense are
involved. But for the effective learning senses should be given proper training. With proper training power of
the senses can be increased. In the present paper how to train important senses is discussed

ANNIE BESANT AND ARYAVARTA --- INVOKING THE ANCIENT INDIAN WISDOM
Amneet Gill
DOI : 10.5281/amierj.6886063
Abstract
Certificate
After 1893, and until her death, Annie Besant choose to direct her superabundant energy
towards India. She almost ruled the country as a high priestess over a sect whose members were
meticulously engaged in studying ancient Indian scriptures. Her objective was to seize the
fulcrum of contemporary power and to use it to bring about an irreversible shift in India’s
political direction. Her enterprise seemed to be planned. Firstly, she considered it necessary to
revive the faith of the people in the old religion. Her next step was to combine traditional
learning with the best of Western education and then finally to enter politics.1 Her aim was
rather visionary. She wanted to bring about a universal and theocratic state where men lived
fostered with the feeling of brotherhood and humanism. As Adyar was the headquarter of the
Colonel Olcott’s Theosophy, she choose Benaras, the holy Kashi which was the Hindu Rome as
the headquarter of an independent Indian section of Theosophy.

Abstract

It is seen that the education process plays an important role in raising the rate of national income and the progress graph of the nation. But the learning process depends on the teachers who are committed to achieve this. If teachers do not commit to the profession and work honestly, national development can be hampered. If the teachers work excellently and effectively, we can confidently talk about the future of our nation. Therefore, the importance of teachers in the education process needs to be given more importance to their needs.
