Abstract
Certificate
The present paper proposed to present the Middle East crisis in the novels of Mohsin Hamid. The stories
of immigrants articulated as a larger part of the Unites States. The appearance of the real and the surreal is evolved
into imagination. Into the context of refugee asylums, citizens are looking for a better future. The sense of
geographical unsettlement is evident. Whether a immigration is a difficult experience or an indisputable part of a

THE FALL OF AMERICAN DREAM IN F. SCOTT FITZGERALD’S THE GREAT GATSBY
Rajni Devi
DOI : 10.5281/EIIRJ.7193555
Abstract
Certificate
The American dream is an ideal that has been present since American literature onset. Typically, the dreamer aspires to rise from rags to riches while accumulating such things as love, high status, wealth, and power on his way to the top. The dream has had variations throughout different time periods, although it is generally transformed into a materialistic vision of having a big house, a luxury car and a life of comfort. In the past century, the American dream has increasingly focused on material items as an indication of attaining success. In The Great Gatsby, Jay Gatsby is a high aspirant person who started out with no money but only a self-made plan for achieving his dream. He is so blinded by his luxurious possessions that he does not see that money cannot buy love or happiness. This research paper focuses on the elements how a dream can become corrupted by one’s attention on acquiring wealth, power, and expensive things.

Sahira Bano & Sachin Chaple
DOI : 10.5281/EIIRJ.7193575
Abstract
Certificate
The ideal of a good and perfect life is to have a sound mind in a sound body. For this one must engage in games like volleyball. Volleyball is a very dynamic sport characterized by various sprints, jumps (blocking and spiking) and high-intensity court movements that occur repeatedly during competition. Successful performance of these movement structures depends greatly on anthropometric and physical performance variables. Moreover, to achieve best performance in the volleyball game, one needs to possess a specific type of body structure. Body size refers to the person's height and weight. The ideal size for a sportsperson depends on the sport or event and sometimes the position they play in their sport. Specifically, body composition refers to the athlete's body fat. In most sports, the athlete will try to keep his/her levels of body fat to a minimum. In general the higher the percentage of body fat the poorer the performance. One of the most widely used metric or measurement system used to assign body structure of a person is somatotyping.

DOI : 10.5281/EIIRJ.7193581
Abstract
Certificate
Presently, there is great demand in India as well as many countries of human resources proficient in the English language. Moreover, the younger generation in India is convinced that English language will give them more opportunities for economic and career advancement. English has changed from the language of the west to language of the modern era. English today is India’s most important language of knowledge – one that empowers students to be not just consumers of knowledge but, more importantly, participants in the production of knowledge. However, the use of knowledge appears to be guided by the amount of creativity one has in the presentation of concepts, facts or other aspects of life.

Parminder Singh & Sarang Khadse
DOI : 10.5281/EIIRJ.7193590
Abstract
Certificate
Man has probably not seen obesity for more than thousands of years. It was not until the 20th century that it became common, so much so that in 1997 the World Health Organization formally recognized obesity as a global epidemic. The current estimates by the WHO show that at least 400 million adults (9.8%) are obese, with higher rates among women than men. Obesity is increasing at an alarming rate throughout the world and India is not an exception. Though obesity is not immediate lethal disease itself, but it is a significant risk factor associated with a range of serious non-communicable diseases and condition (Tanaka and Nakanishi, 1996). Some studies have indicated that obesity may be linked with an increased risk of coronary heart disease, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and gallstone in the later years (Raj and Kumar, 2010). Obesity has reached epidemic proportions in India in the 21st century, with morbid obesity affecting 5% of the country's population. India is following a trend of other developing countries that are steadily becoming more obese (Kelishadi and Azizi-Soleiman 2014). Unhealthy, processed food has become much more accessible following India's continued integration in global food markets. Although there are many approaches for fighting the obesity problem (Deforche et al., 2003) in kids, the use of physical activities like martial arts has not been explored through systematic research studies.

THE PLIGHT OF WOMEN IN CASTE AND PATRIARCHAL SOCIETY IN MEENA KANDASAMY’S POETRY
Nagarjun Wadekar
DOI : 10.5281/EIIRJ.7193646
Abstract
Certificate
Dalits are the lowest in the hierarchical caste system. They were supposed to do all kinds of low work. The place of women in the Indian caste society is no different than that of the Dalits. In caste society, women had to do the worst kinds of works. This had religious sanction too. As a result of this the status of women in the villages is still lower. Dalit women are considered lower than the other women in their status. Nevertheless, most of the women are completely powerless and do not have much social, economic and political standing. In such a religious social structure, a Dalit woman bears the brunt all her life. Dalit women are victims of economic, social, religious and cultural exploitation, in short, the victims of Indian patriarchal system.
