WOKE CULTURE REVOLUTION – A CASE STUDY OF LAYER’S SHOT CONTROVERSIAL ADVERTISEMENT
Miss. Rashmi Mishra & Dr. Gayatri Indrakanti
DOI : 10.5281/AMIERJ.10564401
Abstract
Certificate
It is common for a word or phrase to enter the mainstream as language changes and develops, leaving many people
perplexed about its true meaning. The term "woke" originally meant merely the "past simple of wake," as in to wake
up or become awake. The definition of the word has significantly evolved in the current day, and in 2017, the dictionary
was updated to reflect the new definition of "woke." The dictionary describes the term as being "chiefly US slang" and
adding the following definition: "Aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of
racial and social justice)." The advertising industry is likewise not an exception. Marketing controversies are nothing
new. Advertisers strive to draw viewers' attention to their product at all costs. They are constantly seeking approaches
to do that. Others unintentionally or purposely become embroiled in contentious matters, which can be detrimental to
their brand's reputation. Some advertisers have seen great success with controversial ad campaigns, while others have
faced detrimental impacts on their businesses. Advertisers sometimes breach moral standards and challenge oversight
organizations, whether openly or covertly. When faced with protests, marketers may pause airing specific ads
temporarily or seek legal recourse. This research paper centers on the breach of advertising ethics in Indian
advertising, spotlighting Layer’s Shot advertisement as a case study due to its backlash. The paper aims to explore its
effects on the audience and identify the loopholes present in controversial advertisements.

THE EFFECTIVE HANDLING OF ISSUES AND CHALLENGES FACED DURING THE TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS
Dr. Ravindra Nagesh Naik
DOI : 10.5281/AMIERJ.10565829
Abstract
Certificate
The present paper analyzes the challenges faced by the teaching fraternity in online v/s traditional classroom teaching,
particularly in the post pandemic situation. Traditional classroom teaching is the unit where the teacher teaches and
delivers the lecture face-to-face. Here the students are able to interact with the teacher immediately in the class in
front of other students. At the same time, online teaching is bound to be associated with the device, wherein the students
cannot express themselves with their doubts or queries to the teacher in a personal manner. Distance sometimes
restricts the attachment one needs to be felt in the entire teaching process. This attachment is missed not only by the
students, but also the teachers. The study is analyzed with the help of primary data collected from 100 teachers around
the Mumbai suburban area. The study highlights the fact that in spite of major technological revolution, beginning in
the 21st century, traditional classroom teaching methods retain their own standard in higher education systems in
India. However, these problems can be overcomed with the mechanism called blended learning, wherein the
combination of both online and classroom teaching can ease the teaching learning process

Abstract

An Academician is a person who is involved in the noble cause of spreading eduction. While Conferences play a vital
role in the shaping of professional life of an academician, they also come with their own pros and cons that affect the
attending and performing ability of the academicians. It is very certain that the well being and success of an
educational institute solely depends on the teaching workforce that is held by it. Mere teaching is inclusive of delivering
the acquired or current knowledge only, but simultaneously being involved in the process of unleashing new areas of
concerned fields through research brings in more chances of new discoveries and exploration of the same. And the
excellence of the teaching work force of the educational institution completely depends on the educational and research
experiences undergone by them such as the work environment they reside in, exposure they receive, freedom of skill
exhibition given to them and the support or assistance they seek from the management that controls the educational
institution. On the contrary, if an academician or a faculty member is aided under UGC, the benefits of publishing
research papers under renowned journals are enormous but for the faculty members who are unaided, the cost of
Paper publishing can troll over to an additional burden in terms of financial expenses. Besides, the personal interest
of the academicians which in turn benefit the educational institution and the institutional interest which will lead to
holding a great bunch of talented academicians, need to be nurtured in a compound manner with the required level of
exposure to both the ends

The shift from conventional marketing practice to eco-friendly marketing practices has gained tremendous support in
college campuses. But some colleges are taking insufficient efforts to bring any transformative actions. Individuals
must acquire beliefs, attitudes, habits, and behaviours to achieve a sustainable future. These behaviours are frequently
ingrained at an early age. This research paper explores this significant transition, highlighting how college marketing
has evolved from promotional tactics that were influenced by the hype to a more harmonious integration of
sustainability strategies. Initially the marketing strategies were highly focused on hype, exaggerated claims, and eye-
catching tactics. But in today’s world, there is a paradigm shift towards sustainability and green marketing campaigns.
This shift shows a basic shift in the way colleges conduct their promotional initiatives, to be consistent with sustainable
principles and practices. The study aims to understand several factors to analyse this green shift in college and
examines the motivations behind this change that have led colleges to adopt green marketing. These motives could be
result of growing awareness of sustainability goals, eco-friendly behaviour, and environmental issues. The study
analyses how colleges have put green marketing strategies into practice. This involves analysing the campaigns,
curriculum modification, college rules and regulations, eco-friendly aware groups and initiatives undertaken by
colleges. Additionally, the study draws attention to the difficulties and chances encountered throughout this shift. It
discusses the barriers faced by the colleges in adoption of green marketing and innovative ways to overcome the
barriers. Various positive outcomes, opportunities, prospectives has been brought by this green shift such as teacher-

FINANCIAL CAPABILITY AND THE NEED FOR FINANCIAL EDUCATION: A STUDY AMONG YOUNGSTERS IN SELECTED AREAS OF CENTRAL MUMBAI
Ms. Soumya Nichani

Abstract

To quote Acharya Chanakya – “Wealth is one of the most significant factors in life. It brings you the honour; it
supports you and makes you capable of dealing with calamities.1”
In these days of increased social media exposure and consumerism, saving and investing have taken a back-seat in the
priorities of youngsters. The days of saving one’s pocket money or salary are gone and this generation of youngsters
focusses more on instant gratification for their needs.
India's household savings have hit their lowest point in 47 years. In the years 2020-21, a savings rate of 11.5 percent
of the gross domestic product (GDP) was reported and the same is now at 5.1 percent in 2022–232. Low savings rate
coupled with increasing debt by households is a harbinger of lower economic growth.
In the light of such changing thought, the need was felt to carry out a small study on financial literacy levels among
