Mr. Jitendra Pratap Singh
DOI : 10.5281/AMIERJ.7895552
Abstract
Certificate
Presence of barriers in participation of HI students in inclusive and special schools has negative impact on their functional ability/status. This explores on the functional limitations and barriers in participation of hearing impaired students in inclusive and special schools with reference to learning and applying knowledge, general task & demands and communication. A total number of 113 HI students (inclusive schools) and 69 HI students (special schools) Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh were included in this study selected using purposive sampling method. The data was collected using researcher used ICF- based Functional Assessment Scale tool for rational assessment of functioning of HI students developed, modified and standardised by Mishra, A. and Rangasayee, R. (2006, 2010).
The major significant barriers observed were i.e. non availability of hearing aid, lack of suitable educational opportunities, lack of speech/auditory training and speech therapy, lack of suitable instructional methods/procedures,
lack of appropriate learning material, lack of self-advocacy and lack of parent support. Further, facilities were emerged i.e. availability of hearing aid, adequate support services such as auditory and speech training, availability of speech therapy facilities, provision of suitable educational opportunity, training of formal sign language, and availability of appropriate visual learning material. It can be concluded that HI students in inclusive schools are
affected by barriers at large as compared to special schools and in terms of presence of facilitators in participation of HI students in special schools were availing the adequate facilities at large as compared to their counterparts in inclusive schools.

THE SKY IS NOT THE LIMIT”: AN EXPLORATION OF THE FEASIBILITY OF MAKING ASTRONOMY LEARNING ACCESSIBLE FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED LEARNERS
Dr. Hema Bhadawkar & Dr. Kalpana Kharade
DOI : 10.5281/AMIERJ.7895650
Abstract
Certificate
The visually impaired learners have to face many access challenges in getting education with respect to content, teaching-learning and assessment. Astronomy is one of such fields which is highly inaccessible for the VI learners due to its abstract and visual nature. But if appropriate instructional interventions are made then even the VI learners can also access the astronomy content effectively. This study presents such an experiment in which the VI learners were given exposure to astronomy learning through the instructional intervention based on technology based inquiry learning approach (TBIA).The statistical analysis proved the usefulness of TBIA approach over traditional approach of teaching astronomy to VI learners.

A CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK OF ACADEMIC RESILIENCE
Prof. Ranjit Kaur & Mr. Sushil Kumar
DOI : 10.5281/AMIERJ.7895702
Abstract
Certificate
Academic achievement is a key developmental venture for adolescents in the field of educational development across
the globe. It opens the door to higher education and occupational outcomes. Despite the problems encountered in every life, individuals who maintain their academic life efficaciously are an example of resilient persons. Institutions of higher education present a host of academic challenges that students have to overcome to succeed and graduate (mastering cognitively demanding materials, time management, etc.). Being chronic withinside the face of these
challenges is what defines the psychological construct of resilience (Connor & Davidson, 2003). Resilience is the core
strength everyone uses to lift the load of life. It is not a permanent trait. Flexibility, adaptability, and perseverance can help everyone tap into their adjustment by changing certain thoughts and behaviours. Resilience is defined as the process, ability, or result of successfully adapting in the face of difficult or threatening situations (A. J. Martin & Marsh, 2009).
Academic resilience is the ability to deal with academic setbacks, stress, and study pressure; to persevere and achieve in the academic environment; to rise using assets from internal and external support to face adversity; the likelihood
of success in school and life accomplishments despite environmental adversities brought about early traits, conditions, and experiences’; to maintain high motivation and performance with events that put them at academic risk; to achieve
good academic achievement after facing a negative event or difficult situation (Dalimunthe et al., 2021; Liu & Platow, 2020; A. Martin, 2002; A. J. Martin & Marsh, 2009; Wang et al., 1994).
Academic resilience is the most important and applied factor for student life. It is affected by two categories of factors: risk factors (disadvantage family background, academic environmental, social, emotional, psychological, skilled oriented and policy development process factors); protective factors (academic resilience are internal, external; school and professional factors; social factors; psychological factor, environmental factors, academically protectives family.) In an era of falling resilience and warning levels of the learners in mainstreaming, building a classroom
supportive climate may be an instructional instrument that all educators should assign for the success of learners.

IMPORTANCE OF MONITORING BLOOD SUGAR LEVEL: POST COVID
Dr. Vishwambhar Jadhav & Ms. Deksha Shetty
DOI : 10.5281/AMIERJ.7895724
Abstract
Certificate
The current paper studies the growing trend and the worldwide concern about Diabetes and its types along with the
problems and complications associated with it such that the person who is diagnosed with diabetes run the risk for
low muscular strength along with a faster decline in the muscle strength. Through studies, it has been observed that
in recent years, the type 2 Diabetes Mellitus prevalence has significantly increased in low- and middle-income
countries compared to higher-income countries and post COVID-19 it has been notoriously leaving diabetes as an
aftermath.
Different associations/organisations and research studies have prescribed varied indicators of self-care behaviours.
Let’s take for example, The American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) has identified seven self-care
behaviours: healthy eating, being active, monitoring, taking medication, problem-solving, healthy coping, and
reducing risks. Based on various studies, this paper will mainly probe on how checking your blood sugar levels
requires high attention and adequate self-care which can prevent or better manage the disease by making positive
amendments and changes in lifestyle by including physical activities in daily regime for its prevention or effective
management.
General public needs to be educated about some self-care behaviours which is essential to control adequate
metabolism and to prevent long-term complications. Such awareness can contribute to bringing down the cases of
diabetes or at least help to manage it. Globally collective research in the area of prevention, control, and management
of diabetes and better health care services are the need of the hour.

ANALYSIS OF AMISH TRIPATHI’S THE IMMORTALS OF MELUHA TO EXAMINE THE APPLICATION OF CODE-MIXING AND CODE-SWITCHING BY MULTILINGUAL SPEAKERS
Vagishwari S. Gore & Dr. Santosh J. Mishra
DOI : 0.5281/AMIERJ.7895789
Abstract
Certificate
The speakers in multilingual societies often mix and switch codes according to specific personal and social conditions of the communication they are involved in. These two processes of code alternation are called code-mixing and codeswitching. Generally, code-switching describes any switch among languages during a conversation, whether at the level of words, sentences, or blocks of speech, in contrast, code-mixing describes the mixing of two languages at the word level.
This paper aims to analyze the use of code-switching and code-mixing used in Amish Tripathi’s The Immortals of Meluha. In collecting data for the research, the researcher took a few steps, such as observing and reviewing the novel and choosing the dialogues containing code-mixing and code-switching.
The researcher found that the dialogues in the novel have different kinds of code-switching and code-mixing. There were three types of code-switching; tag, inter-sentential, and intra- sentential. It was also found that there are different reasons for code-mixing and code-switching used by the author.
