Myths traditionally created to explain the origins of the world or of belief systems or natural occurrences in the location of the culture. A myth is a story comes from an ancient culture and it includes supernatural elements. Myths are passed down from one generation to the next generation. The Mahabharata a great Indian epic goes beyond the time and space as a reflection of socio-cultural matrix in which it was developed. This grand epic has been the object of several telling and reinterpretation over centuries. The Mahabharata is a celebration of ancient Indian history and culture. These epics have not been applied by modern writers as religious text but have been reconstructed for different purposes and ideological purposes. The Mahabharata celebrates multiple heroes but the Kauravas are mostly presented as having evil minds and standing against religion. The present research paper attempts to study Anand Neelakantan's "Ajaya: Roll of the Dice" from Duryodhana's Point of view. Duryodhana has been presented as a positive character whom so far seen as the biggest villain.

DECONSTRUCTING THE GRAND MYTH: A STUDY OF ANAND NEELAKANTAN'S "ASURA: TALE OF THE VANQUISHED"

Anand Neelakantan become known with his novel "Asura: Tale of the Vanquished" gave voice to Ravana, the Asura king. The Ramayana, the hallowed Hindu epic, depicts the mythical tale from the perspective of a legendary hero Ram who is worshipped as God in India. This novel explores the role of anti-hero epic work by reading against the grain. The present research paper will try to deconstruct the grand myth in the novel "Asura: Tale of the Vanquished". The writer had tried to challenge the dominant ideology of the time and has initiated a new tradition of looking into the tale from another side. This paper will analyze how the author has tried to appreciate the wrong mythical character by deconstructing their image and offer reinterpretation through it silenced dark character. In Asura Tale, Neelakantan had done the opposite brought out virtues of Ravana and questioned certain actions of Rama that has goes unquestioned before. This research paper is to reinterpret the past as well as epic giving voice to the muted. Neelakantan gives alternative voices, it was implied that this distinction would emerge rather than capsizing the conventional notion, but this distinction interprets Ravana as humane rather than divine.

Pune became a large town/pargana under the Peshwas and enlarged more during the British period. Geographical description of Pune town came in various sources. Historical development of Pune established strong ground for its process of urbanization in the times of Maratha, Peshwa and British rulers. This article highlights some of the important monuments of Pune urban.
Pune became a halting place for traders on their route. Buddhist caves found in Pune and nearby area’s (Saswad, Karle, Bhaje, Junnar, Shelarwadi) were funded by Shreshthis (followers of buddhist ideology) which were traders on the trading routes. Though Pune got specialised crafts, industries, markets, administrative system, educational institutions, and religious institutions which influenced the economic, religious, educational, cultural, administrative and traditional ideas and institutions of Pune. GLASS CEILING IN PRIVATE SECTOR FOR WOMEN EMPLOYEE

This research address different concerns of Woman class ceiling in workplace and its impact on women employee while working in the organization. Gender discrimination in workforce was measured through independent samples-t test. The analysis shows that females were discriminated more than males in private organizations. Thus the findings show that females are discriminated more than males in private sector than in public sector. The impact of gender discrimination on satisfaction & motivation, commitment & enthusiasm and stress level was assessed through Pearson product moment correlation co-efficient. The results show that gender discrimination decreases satisfaction & motivation and commitment & enthusiasm level of employees, and increases the stress level in the employees.

SELF-CONFIDENCE AND OPENNESS AMONG SPORTSPERSON AND NON-SPORTSPERSON STUDENTS

The present study was conducted to investigate the self-confidence and openness of sportsperson and non- sportsperson in Jalgaon city. Mukta Rani Rasthogi self-concept scale was used to measure self-confidence, COSTA and McCrae 2010 NEO five-factor personality inventory was used to measure the personality factors openness. The sample consists of 100 subjects 50 sportsperson students and 50 non-sportsperson students (50 male, 50 female) between ages rang 18-24 years were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The collected data was analyzed using the Independent sample ‘t’ test. This study found that the sportsperson students have better self-confidence and openness than non- sportsperson students.

After 34 years, the Indian Government has launched new education policy with remarkable changes in the year 2020. Education department and policy makers perform their role in Formulation and implementation of new policy but there are teachers who implement those recommendations and changes at school level and student level. Hence, it is very important to facilitate teachers with various resources and to train teachers for new approaches of the policy. So, the researchers found it important to focus on awareness about new education policy in teachers
of U.T. of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. In the present research, researchers tried to check awareness in teachers about NEP 2020. And tried to know teachers’ knowledge regarding NEP 2020. The major findings of the research were as under:
- There is a scope to increase awareness about NEP 2020 amongst the teachers.
- There is no any remarkable difference in the awareness NEP 2020 in teachers with respect to their gender, locality of the schools and teaching experience.
NEP 2020 is a National Educational Policy proposed by the Government with remarkable changes. All teachers must be aware of the NEP 2020 regarding school education system. Teachers can understand the challenges in proper implementation of NEP 2020 practically and be prepared with possible solutions for the same. Teachers with proper understanding of NEP 2020 can guide students properly for their career. It is in the hands of teachers to apply it practically and to make it effective, fruitful and successful. Hence, it is very important to facilitate teachers with various resources and to train teachers for new approaches of the policy.

Describes the recommendations of Chiplunkar Samit and GR based on it for appointment of school librarian, norms, qualifications and pay scale. The paper concludes with the remarks that In spite of reports given by various committees and commissions, Government Resolutions etc. very insignificant number of schools in Maharashtra as well as in Marathwada have appointed librarian.)

Women in India constitute around half of the Country’s population (i.e.48.4%) hence they are regarded as the “better half of the society”. In the official proclamation, they are at the par with men. But in real life, the truth prevails otherwise, our society is still male-dominated. Womens are not treated as an equal partners. The paper critically investigates the status of women in India compared to male. The paper develops arguments on the basis of secondary data as review of existing literature published in Books, Journals, leading newspapers and reputed national websites. The paper critically evaluatos various schemes and programmes implemented by the central government for the women empowerment in India. The present paper discuss about the India's 112th rank among 153 countries in the world Economic forum Global Gender Gap Index 2020, which slipped from 108th position in 2018, finally paper emphasized on there is an Urgent need to adopt some appropriate measures to empower women’s in India.
