India witnessed a sharp rise in poverty when the covid-19 pandemic let to a strict national wild lockdown in 2020. Which for the first time after the great depression, is creating economic downturns in term of job, income, and consumption loss. Some can afford space travel, but for some, managing the one-time meal is rocket science. A harsh reality of the world, which is technologically so advanced that it can achieve anything possible, but the widening of the gap between the rich and the poor just cannot be ignored.

IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON MSMES OF RURAL ECONOMY IN INDIA
Dr. Gokul Shamrao Damre
DOI : 10.5281/EIIRJ.7272786
Abstract
Certificate
While corona is trying to recover from the lockdown, it is still difficult to predict exactly how behaviours will change in some cases while living with the corona. In such cases, education has to be considered as a priority, because although many issues like online education are being discussed as an alternative in this regard, its feasibility will be important from the point of view of the government, educational institutions and students-parents. That is why there is still a lot of confusion regarding some of the unfinished exams as well as the future course of schools and colleges. The ongoing lockdown is now over. Unconditional unlocking of markets has opened up markets, government-semi-government offices have sprung up on the strength of few employees, and efforts are being made to start industries and businesses on the available manpower. Weddings are starting to take place, shopping is in full swing. The public transport system is also slowly recovering. Although the corona is a source of fear, it is now certain that there will be a resurgence of the overall circulation, as it is certain to live with the corona in the future; But even though everything else seems to have started, the situation regarding schools and colleges still seems to be confusing when it comes to the education sector. Although schools have been asked to start as usual, these schools have been started only for teachers and staff.

IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON MSMES OF RURAL ECONOMY IN INDIA
Mr. Sanjay Laxman Mundhe
DOI : 10.5281/EIIRJ.7272799
Abstract
Certificate
The new Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic has quickly spread over the world, wreaking havoc on millions of people's lives and livelihoods. India's first infection was reported on January 30, 2020, forcing authorities to quickly implement a variety of steps to slow the spread of the disease. Because the disease is highly contagious, a much-needed nationwide lockdown was implemented on March 25, 2020, to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. During the first several weeks, the limitations were stringent, and all non-essential activities and companies were prohibited across the country, including retail shops, educational institutions, and places of religious devotion. As a result, in most parts of the country, these prohibitions are being gradually relaxed in a stepwise manner.
As the constraints imposed by the lockdown are eased, now is an excellent time to assess COVID-19's impact on various sectors of the economy. A number of reports have suggested that the Indian economy may decline in 2020-21. This is a concerning sign, because a larger GDP contributes significantly to increased living standards, reduced poverty, and improvements in other socio-economic indices. While other sectors have been reported to be under severe strain, it is critical to assess the impact on agricultural and associated sectors, which employ the vast majority of India's people.
MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) are regarded as the backbone of the Indian economy. It employs about 120 million people, making it the second greatest source of employment (after agriculture). It accounts for more than 40% of India's entire exports. COVID-19's influence on the rural economy would be incomplete without consideration of its impact on MSMEs.

DOI : 10.5281/EIIRJ.7272816
Abstract

COVID-19 is a highly infectious disease caused by coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). It has originated in Wuhan city of China. The coronavirus triggered first phase in the form of nationwide lockdown in India which commenced on March 25, 2020. It has globally put, over 1.2 billion children out of the classroom. This situation challenged the educational system across the world and forced educators to shift to an online mode of teaching abruptly. Many academic institutions that were forced to transform entirely to online teaching and learning. Hence, there was distinctive rise in e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken through digital platforms.
The lack of digital tools is a major drawback amongst students, there is difficulty in understanding, social isolation and poor communication skills. The impact of the virus was so strong that online education became an omnipresent part of education, resulting in no further physical interaction of teachers with students. Due to the lockdown, students have not connected with the outer world resulting in lack of exposure. Since, students have been introduced to virtual platforms it made them well versed with technology with digital identity.
On the other side of education i.e., the teachers, were greatly benefitted by teaching online, in such a way that it has increased their awareness of students' needs and methods to create engaging activities. Few teachers, realised it is easier to teach face-to-face after teaching online, while other teachers disagreed and faced challenges when returning to the face-to face classroom. The student teacher rapport has been affected very badly as the whole surrounding has drastically changed on account of unprecedented advent of pandemic

Abstract
Certificate
Purpose – This study seeks to uncover the many types of academic stress faced by students in higher education institutions as teaching methods shifted from offline to online during the Covid-19 outbreak.
Design/methodology/approach – The underlying reasons for students' academic stress will be investigated using the author's self-prepared Student Opinion Questionnaire (SOQ). A total of 205 students from one of the best academic institutions in North Bengal, which is located in the Indian state of West Bengal, were chosen for this study from the first, third, and fifth semesters.
Findings: The Student Opinion Questionnaire (SOQ) took into account two factors: socio-demographic stress and academic stress. The fact that 42% of respondents were first-generation students was the most significant source of socio-demographic stress. The instability of the internet, lack of academic recognition, submission of online answer scripts, and different guidelines of offline classes in different states of India were identified in academic stress parameters out of nine parameters given in the SOQ.
Originality/value – To the best of the researcher's knowledge, this is an empirical study of one of the premier higher education colleges in North Bengal, where a large percentage of students are first-generation learners, highlighting the types of academic stresses they experience.

Abstract

The virus can spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose in small liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak, sing or breathe. These particles range from larger respiratory droplets to smaller aerosols Most people infected with the virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover with. requiring special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention. Older people and those with underlying medical conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, or cancer are more likely to develop serious illnesses. Anyone can get sick with COVID-19 and become seriously ill or die at any age. Due to the increasing impact and lockdown of Covid-19, all works and businesses were shut down except for essential services in the Indian economy. For the safety of the people of the country and the safety of the migrant workers, the government was changing the rules from time to time, sometimes relaxing the rules, while issuing strict rules according to the health conditions in the region. The lockdown has claimed the lives of thousands of workers, not only in Corona but also in road accidents while traveling. The question of survival and alternative existence arose in front of the foreign workers who were living on their hands. Fearing the corona would make their lives difficult, thousands of workers agreed to return to the village. Thousands of workers walked thousands of kilometers as all means of transportation were shut down. While doing this, the workers have to face many problems due to the strict regulations of the government. Corona has had a detrimental effect on the country's economy and also on the economic condition of the workers

Covid-19 disease originated in Wuhan; now reach to all parts of the world leading to lockdown and closure of all the activities. Closure of all activities leads to loss of GDP and employment. But, tourism is the sector which was closed down first of all and will be opened in the last. Naturally, this sector will face more problems than any other sector of the economy. In this situation, we want to know what will be the impact of covid-19 on tourism sector. Objectives of the study are around this curiosity. To study the status of tourism sector before covid-19, to study the impact of covid-19 on tourism sector, to study the demands made by this sector to government to come out immediately from this crisis and to suggest measures to government for speedy revival of the tourism sector from pandemic. The present study uses the secondary sources only, as primary sources are not possible to use due to lockdown and other restrictions from the government. So, primary sources are not considered in this study. For secondary sources also, we are relied mainly on reports of CII, government and other international agencies. The study is restricted to tourism industry only. Major conclusions of the study are tourism sector is severely affected by the pandemic, not only in India but in the entire world. This industry is trying to revive itself but government should support them in this effort for fast recovery since this industry is useful in creation of employment, increasing growth of national income but is also useful in increasing the stock of foreign exchange reserves.

THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON TAX COMPLIANCE ATTITUDE OF TAXPAYERS IN NAVI MUMBAI AND STUDY OF NEW AMENDMENTS
Mr. Karan Jagdish Koli
DOI : 10.5281/EIIRJ.7273143
Abstract
Certificate
The tax structure in India is divided into two categories that are direct tax and indirect tax. The taxation system is such that the taxes are levied by the central government and the state government some minor taxes are also levied by the local authorities such as the municipality and local authority. The implementation of both taxes differs. You pay some directly, like the cringed income tax, corporate tax and wealth tax, etc. while you pay some tax pay indirectly like goods and service tax. The systems of tax in the world fall into main categories: Regressive, proportional, and progressive. Two of these systems impact high- and low-income earners differently. Regressive taxes have a greater impact on lower-income individuals than the wealthy. India has a structured tax system and the importance of taxes is defined by two attributes progressive and propositional. It is progressive in that the tax levied at increasing rates to increasing brackets of income and revenue for direct taxation type. And on other hand, indirect tax is considered regressive because it makes no such distinctions as rich or poor, everyone is treated equally and made to pay equal tax for goods and services they consume. India’s tax system is regressive with heavy dependence on indirect tax.
India offers a well-structured tax system for its population. Taxes are the largest sources of income for the government. This money is deployed for various purposes and projects for the development of the nation. The association between the taxpayer’s attitudes of adhering to tax laws caused by covid -19 is unknown before this period and has never been experienced before. The purpose of this investigation is to study the impact of covid -19 on taxpayers and the attitude of all taxpayers during the covid-19 situation. And the second purpose of this research paper is to study regarding awareness of Indian taxpayers. Because in India many taxpayers are thinking about tax is government revenue and is there tax evasion, tax fraud, etc. is allow so, therefore, taxpayers have to think income less over expenditure and file-less tax return and then as per they taking untrue advantage but they don't know who is government, as per constitution we are the government. So in this situation, we are acting falsely with ourselves because we are a citizen of India. And the third objective is to study per government budget yearly announcing new amendments in taxation policy

IMPACT OF COVID 19 ON MIGRATED LABOUR

DOI : 10.5281/EIIRJ.7273177
Abstract

COVID-19 has been projected as worse than the Great Depression of 1930. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared CORONA (COVID-19) outbreak a pandemic in the month of March 2020 (2nd Week). The WHO reached to this decision since the positive cases were rapidly showing the up-swinging trends towards 20 lacs with death toll crossed over to 1 lakh plus. The entire world (around 170 countries; all across the continents) is suffering miserably without having any vaccine to embark upon the virus to contain it immediately. As an only effective tool available to weaken the virus spread, the countries are helplessly exercising lockdown. This will surely affect the health of the economy of the countries and eventually the global economic condition. It is felt that this will bring the biggest slowdown of 100 years in the world. India; as a fast developing country will have to face an extremely severe effect of this natural phenomenon. The world has witnessed several epidemics such as the Spanish Flu of 1918, outbreak of HIV/AIDS, SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome), MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) and Ebola. In the past, India has had to deal with diseases such as the small pox, plague and polio. All of these individually have been pretty severe episodes.

Abstract

A finest economy is one in which a condensed government controls the means of production and wealth. The economic growth plays a very crucial role in the enlargement of the country growth and development. But due to the Pandemic the market is disrupted to a great extent. Moreover governments make appropriate intercessions in reply to the corona virus, businesses are swiftly modifying to the changing desires of their customers, their people and suppliers, while negotiating the financial and proactive challenges. As India calipers for an extended lockdown to curb the transmission of the coronavirus, the economically weaker section of the society also calipers for its battle with poverty and crave. While few migrants have able to reach the safety of their homes, hunger, starvation, the heat and the cold, some are even now thrust in cities with no work or job and no home. Rest, who are fortunate enough to have a roof to live under, have been taken away of their jobs that give them their daily bread. India’s GDP growth is swiftly increasing yearly as in 2015 it was 7. 6% compared to China which was 7. 1%, making India a fastest growing economy2. But due to this pandemic the country is suffering a lot and has decided to save the people first rather of economy. Economy will definitely reach to an accurate and pleasant stage but the precious lives of the people will never be compensated. Therefore the government is protecting lives.

Abstract

The aim of the study is to know about the learner’s satisfaction and challenges faced by the learners in online studies during COVID-19 pandemic. The survey is conducted among the learners of Changu Kana Thakur ACS College, New Panvel. The data were collected from 181 learners through online survey. Data collected from the survey were analysed with routine statistical software. According to the survey, online teaching was equally important in all segments of education during the pandemic period. It was found that learners are getting accustomed to E-learning and upgrading themselves by overcoming the obstacles in online learning. Virtual classrooms have become an avant-garde in the pandemic. With the ease of accessibility most of the learners find E-learning a content experience, however it is necessary to accentuate the downside and improvise them for an ameliorate learning experience.
Besides the epidemiological benefits of E-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, other benefits worth mentioning include increased convenience, access to resources regardless of location, time and reduction of costs. Online classes also have limitations, including problems with internet access, poor internet connection quality, and insufficient digital skills of the respondents. Some benefits such as time flexibility can also be a limitation, especially for students who have difficulties with self-discipline.

IMPACT OF COVID 19 ON POVERTY

DOI : 10.5281/EIIRJ.7273213
Abstract
Certificate
India has been hard hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. The virus has exacted a heavy toll in terms of lives lost and deteriorating health outcomes. The economic consequences of the pandemic have been similarly grim. In this paper I attempt an initial, interim, assessment of the impacts of the crisis on poverty during and post covid 19. I review the growing literature that considers emerging poverty impacts, noting that there remain significant knowledge gaps due to limited evidence on current welfare outcomes. I analyze post covid survey data to examine the incidence of chronic poverty and downward mobility during a period of rapid economic growth and declining poverty. A profile of poverty during such a period might offer a plausible, partial, window on population groups currently at risk. I suggest that, notwithstanding the severe initial impacts of the crisis on poverty, there are grounds for expecting further consequences going forward. As the virus has spread out of the relatively affluent cities, and as economic stagnation persists, rural areas, with historically higher rates of chronic poverty and vulnerability, may see particularly sharp increases in poverty. While recent vaccination developments offer some grounds for optimism, there remains an urgent need to identify, implement and amplify effective policy alleviation measures.

As students are so addicted to online mode learning, returning to their classroom with an offline mode of learning has become difficult for them. As per the survey students were eagerly waiting for offline mode of education as they feel that due to offline mode, they can concentrate more on their academics, confidence and communication/interaction have increased. Though there is the fear in students of giving offline exams. Schools are making efforts for students to regulate the school climate, catch up with learning techniques and adapt to the process brought forth by the new normal life.

A STUDY ON THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON SMALL RETAILERS IN NAVI-MUMBAI
Mr. Kushalkumar N. Kurani
DOI : 10.5281/EIIRJ.7273474
Abstract
Certificate
COVID-19 pandemic outbreaks have led many countries to impose restrictions and movement controls. In
Navi Mumbai, the small business sector is one of the most directly affected by the movement's control order.
In fact, the impact is more significant among small retailers than its larger counterparts. Small Retailers
experience business cancellation or closure and reduced income due to the closure of several supporting
sectors such as wholesaler and transportation. There is still a lack of study on the impact of a pandemic
outbreak on small retailers in developing countries, especially in relating to business continuity and recovery
strategy. It is crucial to explore how small retailers experience crisis and what decision they make for business
survival. This study represents the perspectives of small retailers in the Navi-Mumbai area, about their
business continuity strategy during pandemic.
