A STUDY OF THE PATTERN OF INTROVERSION/EXTRAVERSION AMONG MALE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN RELATION TO THEIR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

The present was carried out to find out relation between
introversion/Extraversion with academic Achievement among male high school
students. A sample of 50 students were selected randomly for the present study.
MPI (Mandsley personality inventory) Hindi version of Eyserick IEPI prepared by
S.Jalota and S.D. Kapoor was used for the the study. The findings revealed that
there is perfect positive co-relation between introversion and academic
achievement that is if one varies another will also varies on the other side there
is negative correlation between extroversion and the academic achievement
that is if one increases other will increases. It may be permitted that introvertswill show better performance in educational tasks, and then the extroverts,
Introverts do better at school and achieve high university grades. This setting of
higher goal for prolonged period of time is essential in any long term
programme of academic achievement.

ATTITUDE OF SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS TOWARDS THE VALUE ‘AHIMSA’

This study investigated the attitude of senior secondary school students
towards the value Ahimsa. Samples were drawn from four senior secondary
schools of district Sonipat, Haryana. A 30 item self prepared questionnaire was
administered to the respondents. Data were analyzed using percentage to assess
the level and t-value for comparison of attitude of students regarding the value
Ahimsa. The main findings revealed that male and female senior secondary
school students do not differ greatly in their attitude towards the value Ahimsa.
Other finding indicated that majority of the respondents have positive or we can
say high level of attitude towards the value Ahimsa.

India has ancient history of use of plants in the indigenous system of medicine (Ayurveda,
Unani, Sidha) in the dates back over 5000 years. Ayurveda records over 8000 herbal remedies. India
officially recognizes over 2500 plants as having medicinal value and it has been estimated that over
6000 plants are used in traditional folk and herbal medicines. It is a peculiarity of the tribal life is their
holistic herbal medicines. Having lived in harmony with nature for centuries the tribes have identified
various herbs which can heal a variety of diseases. This indigenous stream of herbal medicines get
increased now-a days and more and more people not only belonging to tribal community but those
from the outside civilized world approach the tribal medical expert to take the medicines.

Academic achievement is of paramount importance particularly in
the present socio-economic and cultural content. It is the activity, which is
accomplished especially superior ability, special efforts and great value. It
plays significant role in almost all aspects of human life. It has assumed
enormous importance in view of its practical value. There are various
social, cultural, administrative and financial constraints responsible to
effect academic achievement. Measuring academic performance of
teacher trainees is challenging since student performance is product of
cognitive and non-cognitive constructs which includes socio-economic,
psychological and environmental factors. Present paper has been based
on the study conducted on teacher trainees. Parental involvement has
been studied by using parental involvement scale by Chopra and Sahoo
(2005).The findings reveal that parental involvement has a significant
positive impact on the academic achievement of the teacher trainees
irrespective to their gender

Revolutions in Information technology had a great impact on the Indian
banking sector. Since economic liberalization in the year 1991, use of computers
has increased many folds because country's banking sector had been exposed to
the world's global market and Indian banks were finding it really very difficult to
compete with the international banks in terms of various services, without the use
of adequate information technology system. Information technology can be
defined as the acquisition, processing, storage and dissemination of all types of

This paper focus to probe the of rural tourism in India, how rural
tourism can help rural society. It can have both positive and negativeimpacts on rural as well as urban communities. rural tourism means Any
form of tourism that showcases the rural life, art, culture and heritage at
rural locations, thereby benefiting the local community economically and
socially as well as enabling interaction between the tourists and the locals
for a more enriching tourism experience can be termed as rural tourism.
Rural Tourism is essentially an activity which takes place in the
countryside. It is multi-faceted and may entail farm/agricultural tourism,
cultural tourism, nature tourism, adventure tourism, and eco-tourism.
Tourism growth potential can be harnessed as a strategy for Rural
Development. The development of a strong platform around the concept
of Rural Tourism is definitely useful for a country like India, where almost
74% of the population resides in its 7 million villages. Across the world
the trends of industrialization and development have had an urban centric
approach. Alongside, the stresses of urban lifestyles have led to a
“counter-urbanization” syndrome. This has led to growing interest in the
rural areas. Promotion of village tourism as the primary tourism product to
spread tourism and its socio-economic benefits to rural and its new
geographic regions. Key geographic regions would be identified for
development and promotion of Rural Tourism.

The alarming rise in the competition has impacted the businesses to
strategies the reported stress amongst its employees. The climbing figures
are hard to ignore and so is the corresponding stress levels. Though the
concept of stress management has been evolving for decades, no single all
– encompassing meaning has as yet been achieved. This paper seeks to
explore the meaning of stress management and its positive impact towards
success. The paper argues about the implication and the efforts of stress
on the human psychology. The first part of the paper states the meaning of
stress and how it can be managed. The second part of the paper states the
recent transformation in the management system related to stress,highlighting the positive effect on humans and work culture. The third part
of the paper discusses the prospects and challenges outlining the path of
success.
The methodology used for the research is secondary in nature and the
main core objective is to know how stress can be managed in a positive
way so that it can lead to higher performance and success. This paper can
provide an insight about the ill effects of stress due to this competitive era,
especially in India where the awareness about its management is still in
doubt.

JAMMU AND KASHMIR BANK: A CASE STUDY

A Case Study of Jammu & Kashmir Bank was undertaken. Main
objectives of the present study were to ascertain the financial health of the
Bank and its contribution to the economy of the State of Jammu and
Kashmir. A comparative study of Jammu and Kashmir Bank (a lead
private bank) and Punjab National Bank (a public sector bank) was also
carried out on the variables of financial health..
The study was based on secondary data drawn from annual reports
of the Bank for 5 years (2008-2012). The results were formulated using
parameters such as capital adequacy ratio, asset quality, management
capability, earnings and liquidity ratio using latest statistical technique
“CAMEL”. A finding of the study reveals that the financial health of the
Jammu & Kashmir Bank was strong on the parameters of CAMEL. The
J&K Bank contribution to the development of agriculture, micro, small
and medium enterprises, handloom and handicrafts was found significant.
Results of the comparative study show that the Jammu and
Kashmir Bank was found higher on the variables of quality assets, the
growth rate of business , liquidity ratio, earnings per employee, cost
effectiveness as compared to Punjab National Bank . However, the study
reveals that both the banks were found financially viable as they
maintained minimum standard of capital adequacy ratio fixed by Reserve
Bank of India over the period of time.
