PROMOTING CULTURE OF PEACE & UNIVERSAL VALUES
Dr. Ramendra Kumar Gupta
DOI : 10.5281/ERJ.7765581
Abstract
Certificate
One of the corner stones for the survival of human society is maintaining peace and harmony
among the peoples of the world and between human society and the enviroment. Our survival
depends upon our concern and respect that we give to “other”. It cuts race, religion and region. For
the larger good of this planet, we have to adopt a more balanced, more positive and more tolerant
frame of mind that would encompass “peace for all” and “all for peace”. This notion cannot be
limited to students or teachers or to educational institutions. It has to be wider in scope, and take in
its fold community, society, market place, nation and international community. As teachers shape the
minds of young children and as children will shape the future world. It is necessary that teachers
should be made aware fully about the dire necessity of internalizing values of peace. This
article/Paper attempts to concentrate on this central point and outlines certain values that have
universal application and are essentail to make us the “complete man”.

Forest is very much significant for its feeding roll to the biosphere. There are also very close relation
between forest and human beings. To a vast number of forest dwellers the forest is a home, a livelihood, the
very existence. It gives them food-fruits, honey, nourishing roots etc. It provides them materials to build their
houses and things for practicing their arts. By exploiting it produce they can supplement their meagre income.
In recent years, there has been much talk about the rapid denudation of green cover of the
geographical area of our land. In this respect, Joint Forest Management play a significant role to preserve the
forest cover and to enhance the forest economy.

TIME MANAGEMENT: A WAY TO SUCCESS
Ms. Amritpal Kaur
DOI : 10.5281/ERJ.7765589
Abstract
Certificate
Man is the most adaptive creature on the planet because of the evolution of the human brain,
especially the part called the neo-cortex. This adaptability is largely due to the changes and stressors that we
have faced and mastered. Therefore, we, unlike other animals, can live in any climate or ecosystem, at various
altitudes, and avoid the danger of predators. Moreover, most recently, we have learned to live in the air, under
the sea, and even in space, where no living creatures that we know of have ever survived. So then, what is so
about Good Time Management? Time management is the act or process of planning and exercising conscious
control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness,
efficiency or productivity.
A time management system is a designed combination of processes, tools, techniques, and methods.
Time management is usually a necessity in any project development as it determines the project completion time
and scope. Time Management is the process of organizing and planning how much time we spend on specific
activities. Time Management is managing your own time more efficiency, and save yourself time in the future

ESTIMATION OF GROUND-STATE ENERGY OF PARTICLE IN 1-D POTENTIAL WELL-VARIATION METHOD
R.B. Ahirrao
DOI : 10.5281/ERJ.7765629
Abstract
Certificate
Quantum mechanics provides approximate methods like perturbation and Variation methods to solve
the one electron or many electron systems. The variation method is employed to solve the problem of particle in
one dimensional potential well. The exact value of ground state energy (GSE) of particle in –D potential well
and form of normalized wave function was calculated. The suitable trial wavefunctions are decided after some
cumbersome calculations. Starting with these trail wavefunctions the expressions for expectation values of
Hamiltonian (<H>) are obtained. The computer programs are designed to solve the tedious integrals in the
expressions for Hamiltonian. The GSE of each trail wavefunction and values of variational parameter ( are
obtained. The values of GSE with exact value are then discussed how one can approaches towards the exact
wavefunction and GSE.

Sustainable development is the development that meets the need of the present without compromising
the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. The concept of sustainable development refers to the
development which is in harmony with environmental considerations.Trade and commerce is a part of society.
Rather, it is dependent on society for its growth and development. It utilizes the available societal resources like
power, water, land, roads etc. Therefore enterprises have a moral and social responsibility to protect the
interest of society. Corporations must take into account the impact of their decisions on different components of
environment .i.e. soil, water and air.Today, pollution of natural resources is of great concern to all members of
society. It is the responsibility of every enterprise not to follow such practices that may lead to degradation of
environment and loss to flora and fauna of the country, even enterprises have to spend a part of their profit to

DOI : 10.5281/ERJ.7766754
Abstract
Certificate
Generally styles are classified as cognitive style, learning style and thinking style. Cognitive styles are
the ways of organizing information. Learning styles are about the ways of learning something and thinking
styles describe how one prefers to think. It is foremost important for the teachers to focus their attention on
students’ favored thinking style before imparting the subject matter. Various researchers found that students
taught through their preferred thinking styles results in increased and improved attitudes towards learning.
Style of Thinking scale by Venkataraman was administered on 250 secondary school students studying in 10+1
standard randomly selected from 8 schools in Amritsar District. Gender, stream of study, management category
and locality of schools are taken as demographic variables to be studied as independent factors. Various
researchers found that students taught through their preferred thinking styles results in increased and improved
attitudes towards learning.

Dr. Kalpana J. Modi
DOI : 10.5281/ERJ.7766769
Abstract
Certificate
Education is the fundamental and basic need for every human being. Without education it is almost
impossible to develop the quality of human life. For survival, protection and development of human
potentialities, education is the only way. No citizen on grounds of only religion, sex or place of birth should be
subjected to any restriction to any place of public entertainment or any educational institution. Suitable
incentives are provided to all weaker sections of society. Weaker class people are the back bone of our society.
They are in need of support. Integration of the physically challenged into the regular school programme
initiated by the Kothari Commission is essential. For achieving equalization of educational opportunities, the
children with disability should have access to quality education comparable to other children

PARENTING STRESS AMONG WOMEN LIVING WITH HIV – A CASE STUDY ANALYSIS
O.Aisha manju & Dr.D.Nirmala
DOI : 10.5281/ERJ.7766822
Abstract
Certificate
Macintosh et.al (2012) states that “HIV/AIDS is considered to be a family disease and it is considered
as one of the major factors affecting women”. The HIV/AIDS epidemic impacts the lives of women in a unique
way precipitates the integration of a host of strategies to face a range of stressors within and outside the
biological context of the disease, stress is the process that occurs in response to events that disrupt, or threaten
to disrupt, in physical and psychological functioning. Mental health issues are major factors in most of the HIV
cases. Parenting stress is a complex issue which is confounded by many psychosocial factors. Parenting is an
important task. According to Rodgers (1998), parentings stress both directly and indirectly affect parenting
behaviour. Anderson (2008) found that parents with poor health reported significantly higher levels of
parenting stress than healthier parents. The present study focuses on mothers living with HIV. Case study
analysis was used to assess the parenting stress among mothers living with HIV. Poverty, stigma and their own
health care needs make parenting more stressful and challenging in meeting everyday life situations

NECESSITY OF SEX EDUCATION IN OUR INSTITUTIONS
Baria Ela T.
DOI : 10.5281/ERJ.7766862
Abstract
Certificate
The world-wide tendency to hush up any talk about sex, presents the greatest difficulty
for the educationists to find devices to solve this problem. It has been observed that the
attitude of the people to this aspect of life is very seldom scholarly. Although we manifest
either normally or abnormally, interest in the opposite sex, still in spite of all moral and
ethical education, we occasionally come across persons who fail to imbibe the true spirit of
sublimation in sex relationship and sometimes even fail to adjust themselves in the presence
of the opposite sex. Even if a teacher is teaching something about it, the students would be
making misuse of the term and of the knowledge by exhibiting not only bad taste but also
manifesting as to how frustration their experience evolves and how disrespectful they are
towards their parents.

CULTURAL ROLE OF GANIKAS (COURTESANS) IN ANCIENT INDIA
Vilas S. Jadhav & Dr.Saharda G.Bande Head of Department
DOI : 10.5281/ERJ.7766899
Abstract
Certificate
Ganika or courtesans as an institute came into existence in ancient India
with a special purpose. It received social status and support by the kings. It also
has social recognition from middle and higher classes. In ancient India,
courtesans or prostitutes had a higher place in society than the common people.1
The men interested in music and dance used to get attracted towards them.
Their class was a striking feature of city life. Their life itself was a composition
of music and fine arts .The same was their profession. As compared to their
present situation, they had a higher position in politics and society. They used
to captivate the people with their beauty and musical presentations. Their role
was important in cultural and luxurious life. The present research paper is an
humble attempt to throw some light on the cultural role of Ganikas in ancient
India who remained negligent, unfortunately for a long time.
